Highlights: The Canadian-born Slayer 50 was created in Vancouver, B.C., the heart of the most progressive riding community in the world. The Slayer was designed to suit the technical terrain of the Pacific Northwest. It is a single-pivot design, with the shock driven by the Thrustlink. Although the Slayer did not show any pedal bob, there was noticeable movement from the fork when you hammer on the fork. The downhills are where this six-inch travel bike shines. Rocky claims that the Slayers have a low center of gravity but the bike still feels tall.

Best quote: The Marzocchi All-Mountain Fork performed better the more we rode it. Its a smooth and durable cross-country-oriented fork that caters to descents.

Bottom line: The Slayer all-mountain bike is designed to respond to the demands of aggressive riders while not shying away form technical terrain. Rocky designed the Slayer for aggressive trail riders who love climbing, but also enjoy the Slayer’s ability to descend. The Slayer is for you if you are looking for a mountain bike that will last and be durable, but also efficient.
